Steve Alvanos

Steve is an industry veteran with more than 20 years experience managing production, post production and package media creation. He began his career as a business entrepreneur licensing titles from the major studio and producing laserdiscs for distribution in Southeast Asia. After 6 successful years, Steve became involved with the Philips Corporation selling and producing titles for their new technology, CD-Interactive, the precursor to DVD. Steve then gained valuable insight into the film-making process working for Brentwood Productions that led him to new business development posts with EDS Digital Studios, Complete Post and Cinesite (a Kodak film company), followed by a successful stint at B1 Media, where he produced DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray.
Steve currently leads the Home Entertainment Division at Lowry Digital, focusing on home entertainment technology for Standard Definition to High Definition up-conversions for TV and the Blu-ray format.
