Reid Burns

Reid Burns has been a motion picture industry professional for over 30 years. Beginning his profession in the photo-chemical film world, Reid worked his way through the ranks color-timing some 200 features before leading production at Deluxe Labs as both a production manager and technical director. With a career largely centered in post production, Reid has also managed special optical and visual effects projects for over 25 years. He has supervised numerous Feature Visual Effects projects, Titles, Trailers, Optical and Digital Effects, Digital Intermediates, and 3D for independent producers, foreign productions, and all the major studios.
Reid moved into Sales, Marketing and Business affairs in 1994 with a career stop at Consolidated Film Industries. He then moved into Digital Visual Effects as a supervising partner in two companies responsible for servicing several Hollywood feature films over a 7-year period. From 2002 through 2005, Reid served as Senior Vice President of FotoKem where he managed a workforce of 235 people. While there, he was responsible for hiring key personnel to support the company’s march towards integrating both large format and digital productions. Reid was named CEO/Director General for Ollin Studios in Mexico City from January 2007 before joining Lowry Digital in December of 2008.
As the Senior Vice President of Lowry Digital’s US Business Operations, Reid oversees the day-to-day operation of the company’s Burbank facility.
